At least 11 inmates escaped from a prison in Mexico's Caribbean beach resort city of Cancun, ABC News reported.
As the source noted, the incident occurred on Tuesday approximately at 21:00 local time. It is reported that the prisoners tied up one of the guards and then managed to escape jumping over a fence.
According to preliminary data, two prisoners have fled the place by a taxi. The escapees are wanted.
