Geophysicist determined the origins of the materials from the previous eruption of the Albanian mountains and examined the satellite photos of the area. They have concluded that the volcano has an eruptive cycle that equals to 31 thousand, and now it is in a dormant state.

Geologists have observed an unusual increase of the mountains , which proves the existence of the magma bubble . In the last 200 thousands years the surface of the mountains increased by 50 meters. At the moment the site rises by 2 mm annually from the sea level.
