YEREVAN. -- A member of the Sasna Tsrer group Pavlik Manukyan, who was holding the building of the police in Yerevan since 17 July, was arrested for two months, said the lawyer of Manukyan, Yvette Petrosyan, noting that the court satisfied the claim of the investigative department.

Manukyan was taken to the court from the Erebuni medical center in an ambulance. After the court had taken a decision to use detention as a preventive measure, Manukyan was taken to the Hospital of Prisoners, a penal institution.

Earlier, the police reported that Manukyan and his son Aram were wounded in their legs during a shootout in the captured Regiment. On July 27 Manukyan was accused of the seizure of the building and illegal possession of weapons. The first charge envisages an arrest from 6 to 12 years , the second from 3 to 8 years.
