Flaming Thunder military training launches in Lithuania. Around 1.1 thousand militaries from the NATO member states  - Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Portugal, the United States, also mortar specialists from Ukraine , will participate in the training, reports the Delfi.

During the trainings the new PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers obtained from Germany in 2000 will be tested. Lithuania will receive the first howitzers purchased from Germany in late June .

According to the contract signed in 2015, Lithuania will receive from Germany 16 PzH 2000 howitzers , M 577 V 2 26 armored vehicles, and BPZ 2 six tanks. Lithuania paid around 60 million euros for all the equipment and their modernization. It is planned that all howitzers will reach Lithuania till 2019 .
