YEREVAN. - Upon the order of Chief of Armenian Police Vladimir Gasparyan, an internal investigation has been launched into dispersing the rally in Yerevan’s Sari Tagh district on July 29. The investigation will consider the non-proportionate use of force by the policemen against the protestors and media representatives, including damaging their equipment.

The Chief of Police has instructed the leaders of operative services to reveal the civilians, who provoked clashes and used force against the rally participants, journalists and policemen themselves, Armenian Police press-service reports.
