YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday received outgoing Kuwait’s Ambassador to Armenia Bassam Mohammed Al-Qabandi.

President Sargsyan thanked the ambassador for his work during his diplomatic mission and hailed consistent efforts on the development of bilateral ties thanks to which Armenia-Kuwait relations were raised to a new level.

The Armenian leader is hopeful that the next ambassador of Kuwait would work for the expansion and deepening of relations between two friendly countries. Serzh Sargsyan wished the envoy every success in his future mission.

In turn, the diplomat thanked the president for warm reception. He said achievements in bilateral relations could be impossible to reach without the contribution of President Sargsyan, the government and other partners. Ambassador Al-Qabandi said he learnt much from the Armenian people.

The sides underscored importance of the development of trade and economic ties.
