The Russian FM Sergey Lavrov had a phone conversation with his French counterpart Jean-Marc Ayrault, during which he discussed the emergency situation caused by the diversion of the Ukrainian armed forces in the territory of Crimea, the website of the Russian MFA reports.

“The emergency situation caused by the diversion of the Ukrainian armed forces in the territory of the Crimean Federal District was discussed. The Russian side stressed that the happening in Crimea must induce our international partners to more energetically influence the Ukrainian leadership and admonish Kiev from dangerous steps, which can have rather negative consequences,” the message reads.

On Wednesday, the Federal Security Service of Russia informed on the prevention of terror attacks in Crimea, which had been masterminded by the Intelligence Department of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.
