The strike aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) will be able to cross the airspace of Iraq if certain conditions are satisfied, Iraqi PM PM Haider al-Abadi stated on Tuesday.

“We have opened our airspace for the Russians on certain conditions,” the PM said without elaborating on those conditions.  He also noted that the Iraqi side hasn’t received from Russia an official request for the flight of different kids of missiles above their territory, TASS reports.

Earlier, a military and diplomatic source informed that the representatives of the Russian Defense Ministry requested the Iraqi and Iranian authorities to permit using their airspace for the flight of aerodynamic missiles.
