YEREVAN. – The Criminal Court of Appeal on Friday denied the motion by the attorney of Pavlik Manukyan—a member of the Sasna Tsrer armed group which took over a police patrol regiment building, but later surrendered in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan in July—that arrest, which was enforced as a precautionary measure against his client, be commuted.

Manukyan’s legal defender, Harutyun Baghdasaryan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News- NEWS.am.

Several criminal charges are brought against Pavlik Manukyan.

To note, he and his son had sustained gunshot wounds to their legs during the exchange of fire at the said police regiment.

Manukyan on Friday will undergo a surgery at the Prison Hospital.
