YEREVAN. – On June 23, 2015, several Armenia Police officers obstructed the work of journalists at Baghramyan Avenue, Liberty Square and surrounding areas in downtown capital city Yerevan, during the rally being held against the electricity price increase in the country.

The Special Investigation Service (SIS) of Armenia issued a statement in this regard.

The statement especially notes that charges have been filed against four police officers for committing such criminal acts.

SIS has completed the investigation of the case into these officers of the law.

The case, along with its indictment, has been submitted to the prosecutor who carries out judicial supervision, for approval and sending it to court.
