YEREVAN. - The Sasna Tsrer armed group supporters marched from the Human Rights Defender’s Office to the Prison Hospital on Tuesday.

The police cordon has blocked the road leading to the Prison Hospital and does not permit the march participants to approach the building, Armenian News – NEWS.am correspondent reports. Among the march participants are also the attorneys of Sasna Tsrer member Hovhannes Harutyunyan Ara Gharagyozyan and Hayarpi Sargsyan, who are not allowed to move to the other side of the cordon either.  

The Sasna Tsrer supporters stood for several minutes in front of the Justice Ministry building, demanding to meet with the Justice Minister Arpine Hovhannisyan. However, the meeting didn’t take place.

The march participants demand to provide proper medical assistance to the wounded members of Sansa Tsrer, who are in the Prison Hospital. Specifically, the attorney of Sasna Tsrer armed group member Hayarpi Sargsyan noted that her client can’t move his leg for several days, but he isn’t provided proper medical assistance.

The attorney of Sansa Tsrer group members Pavlik and Aram Manukyan earlier announced that the paramedics of Erebouni Medical Center will no longer carry out round-the-clock duty in the Prisoners’ Hospital, which is a violation of her clients’ rights.
