YEREVAN. - Two Armenian girls will represent Armenia at the first World Olympiad of New Greek language in Thessaloniki in early September.

Arkadi Khitarov, Chairman of the Union of Greek NGOs in Armenia, told the aforementioned to Armenian News – NEWS.am.

He paid attention to the fact that not only the Diaspora Greeks, but also youth of non-Greek descent, who love the Greek language and culture, are taking part in the Olympiad.

Thus, Armenians became the winners of the national stage held in Armenia, Khitarov noted.

The Olympiad is held under the auspices of the Foundation of Ivan Savvidis, a large Russian businessman of Greek descent.
