About 80 percent of the French don't want Nicolas Sarkozy to resume the post of the president. The results of the survey, conducted by Elabe company, are indicative of this, BFM TV channel reports.

54 percent of the respondents ''under no circumstances'' wanted Sarkozy to become a president. Another 25 percent didn't ''quite want'' that, while the remaining 21 percent voted in favor of Sarkozy.  

The survey, involving 1,000 respondents, was conducted on August 22 and 23, Gazeta reports.

As reported earlier, ex-President of France Nicolas Sarkozy is planning to stand for the presidential elections in 2017. For his part, the current president François Hollande stated that he would like to run for the second presidential term during the 2017 elections, but will do this only in case there is a chance for victory.
