After the events that had taken place in Crimea, Russia refuses to discuss the prospects of the "Norman format" meeting with the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, reports the RIA Novosti, based on the interview with the assistant to the the Russian president Yuri Ushakov. According to him , Ukraine is not a member of G20. In spite of it , Poroshenko suggested to get an advantage from the summit to be held in China and hold a session in a " Norman format."

"The Russian president did not agree upon the meeting, after the famous events that had taken place in Crimea. He clearly stated its attitude towards the possibility of a contact: the Russian side refuses even to consider such a prospect , " he said. Earlier, Russia's Federal Security Service reported about the prevention of terrorist attacks in Crimea , which had been prepared by the General Headquarters of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s intelligence . Kiev denied the accusation , calling it a provocation.
