The State Service for Food Safety of the Armenian Agriculture Ministry has banned the import of live pigs their genetic substances, raw materials from pork and other ready-made products made of pork to the country.
The aim is to prevent the contamination with the African swine fever (ASF) recorded in Ukraine.
Earlier, the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) informed on its official webpage about the cases of the disease recorded in Ukraine.
