Turkey is strongly disappointed with the EU's initial reaction to the attempted military coup, Turkey's EU Affairs Minister Omer Celik said following the results of first meeting between the bloc's 28 foreign ministers in Bratislava.

He said that Turkey believes that they had not seen solidarity from the EU that they expected to see after failed coup attempt, Reuters reported.

He also said that the EU should not expect from Turkey changes in its anti-terrorism legislation. Celik noted that Turkey can discuss new obligations about anti-terror legislation within the Council of Europe.
