Armenian military serviceman Arayik Ordubekyan, who had fallen on September 2 in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR/Artsakh), will be laid to rest on Tuesday, in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.
Mrs. Christine, a family of the Ordubekyan family, on Monday told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
She noted that even though the Ordubekyan live in Sonasar village in the NKR Kashatagh Region for the past one year, Arayik will be buried in Yerevan, since that is where they are originally from.
The young soldier was drafted into the army in the summer of 2015.
The NKR Ministry of Defense press service informed that Arayik Ordubekyan had died under other circumstances that had taken place during the execution of a military task.
And with a decree by NKR President Bako Sahakyan, Artsakh Defense Army serviceman Ordubekyan was posthumously awarded with the Medal for Service in Battle, and in recognition of his bravery during the defense of the NKR state border.
