Georgia has all practical instruments to prepare for NATO membership and the allies are ready to help it on that path

Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg said the aforementioned at the opening of the Georgia-NATO commission session held in Tbilisi, Georgia Online reports.

According to him, the commission will discuss a wide spectrum of issues including Black Sea security issues and “implementation of NATO-Georgia substantial package”.

“We will also discuss the progress achieved in terms of implementation of NATO-Georgia substantial package. This is an initiative that took effect at the Wales summit and strengthened in Warsaw. It is aimed at intensification of our support towards Georgia. We have approved additional measures to make our strong cooperation mechanisms much stronger,” he noted.
