Russia confirms its readiness to organize a meeting between the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu , reports the RIA Novosti, referring to the announcement of the Russian Foreign Ministry official Maria Zakharova.

According to Zakharova, Russia is convinced that it is necessary to resume  the peace process, which will serve as a factor accountable for resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and finding a compromising solution based on the international law.

The diplomat said that in response to the addresses made by Palestine and Israel, Russia confirms its willingness to organize a meeting between the Palestinian president and the Israeli prime minister in Moscow .

" We are satisfied with the fact how demanded Russia’s initiating role in the Middle East peace process is as well as with the fact that the Palestinian and Israeli leaders have agreed to meet with each other in Russia. Now, it is important to choose a favorable and continue contacting on this issue , " said Maria Zakharova .
