The US and Russia are discussing about establishing a cease-fire in Syria, which may take 7-10 days, reports the RIA Novosti, referring to the German Foreign Minister Frank -Walter Steinmeier.

" The most important thing now is to establish a humanitarian ceasefire in Syria; we want it to last more than 48 hours . Currently, the negotiations are being held about establishing the cease-fire for a period of 7-10 days, " said the minister at the Friedrich Ebert Foundation forum in Berlin. According to him, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the US Secretary of State John Kerry are involved in negotiations in Geneva.
