The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bulgaria kicks off registration of political parties, coalitions and initiative committee for the upcoming presidential and  ice-presidential votes which will take place on  November 6, RIA Novosti reported.

Simultaneously, a referendum on the introduction of political system is to take place in the country, reception of documents for registration of participation also began on Monday, BGNES reported.

Parties and coalitions can register until September 21, while for initiative committees the deadline is September 26. Deadline for the referendum documents also expires on 26 September.

Earlier, the Bulgarian government  approved the allocation of about $27 million from the budget on preparation and holding of presidential elections this year, and also on the organization of the national referendum raising issues of electoral law.
