The court of Neubrandenburg started a trial against 95 -year-old former Auschwitz hospital attendant Hubert Zafke, who is accused of the murder of at least 3681 people. The hearings were postponed three times due to the health condition of the accused, reports the DW.

The indictment read out in one of the sessions claims that the defendant was involved in the organization of work in the camp and, thus, contributed to the murder of the prisoners.

Hubert worked in Auschwitz from August 15 to September 14 of 1944. At that time 14 trains with prisoners arrived at the camp. 3681 prisoners were killed in the gas chamber . Hubert was arrested in February of 2014 .
