Hungary negatively reacted to the statement of the Foreign Minister of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn who called to exclude Hungary from the EU, Gazeta reported quoting Origo.
Foreign Minister of Hungary Peter Szijjarto called the Luxembourg counterpart a frivolous man.
Szijjarto noted that the Hungarian people have an opinion and only they will decide with whom they want to live. He emphasized that neither officials in Brussels, nor the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg will take away this right. According to him, Hungary shouldn't bear responsibility for the mistakes of EU officials.
Earlier, Foreign Minister of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn in an interview with the newspaper Die Welt urged to exclude Hungary from the EU due to the inconsistency of its policy with the Union values.
