Conference entitled “Armenians of Podolia: History and modernity” held in Ukraine

The scientific activities of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine (UAU) are key to studying Armeniology in the country.

Polish Armeniologist Dorota Zientek, who attended the scientific practical conference “Armenians of Podolia: History and modernity,” stated the aforementioned, AnalitikaUA.net reports.

In her words, a great number of scientific conferences are being held under the auspices of the organization and new collections of works are being published.  

“These sources are important informational resources for Armeniologists of not only Ukraine but also Poland,” Zientek noted.

The conference dedicated to the 225^th anniversary of the Armenian church in Mohyliv-Podilskyi city was held by the representatives of UAU, district organization “Armenian Diaspora of Vinnytsia,” etc.

In the framework of the forum, famous Ukrainian and foreign scholars made reports on a wide range of topics on history, cultural life, architecture and spirituality of Podolia Armenians.

The conference participants also attended the consecration ceremony of a cross stone in memory of the Armenian Genocide victims in Vinnytsia.
