President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Monday met with the members of the Armenian Assembly of America (AAA) Board of Directors in New York.

The interlocutors touched on issues of pan-Armenian significance, the priorities of the AAA activity, as well as dynamically developing Armenian-American relations and possibilities of their further strengthening and deepening.

Ideas were exchanged on the current international issues, the challenges in the South Caucasus region, the current stage of negotiations over the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as the issue of refugees, which has emerged as a result of the continuous military actions in Syria.

In this context, the Armenian President and the members of the AAA Board of Directors discussed the support provided to our compatriots in Syria, as well as the friendly people of Syria through joint efforts of Armenia and different Armenian organizations.  

Serzh Sargsyan responded to the questions of interest to the meeting participants and briefed them on the process of and prospect for the Armenian economy development, as well as the expectations of the new Armenian Government.

In the framework of his trip to the U.S., the President will attend ‘Armenia’ investment promotion conference in the evening.
