YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is on a working visit in the US, on Monday met with Lydian International company President and CEO Howard Stevenson, and within the framework of the Armenia Investment Forum that was convened in New York City.

They discussed the company’s current activities, in terms of discovery and development of mineral deposit mines in Armenia, especially the company’s activities and development projects toward the development of the Amulsar gold mine.

Stevenson assured Sargsyan that this major mining investment program will also contribute to Armenia’s economic development and have a positive impact on its GDP, the Press Office of the President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Lydian International boss stressed that, with such activities, his company also seeks to show that Armenia is a country that is open to foreign investment.
