President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev will not be visiting Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, under the alleged reason of poor health.

On Tuesday, his press service reported had that Nazarbayev is receiving “cold-related” treatment.

But as per presidential press secretary Aidos Ukibay, the health condition of Nazarbayev gives no cause for concern, according to Inform Buro news agency of Kazakhstan.

Ukibay confirmed, however, that, due to his current state of health, the Kazakh president’s participation in international events has been canceled until the end of the week.

As a result, Prime Minister Bakhytzhan Sagintayev will replace him in Yerevan.

“The prime minister of Kazakhstan will participate in the meetings scheduled in Yerevan, within the framework of the CSTO [i.e. the Collective Security Treaty Organization],” said Aidos Ukibay.
