YEREVAN. - President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is also the Chairman of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), on Wednesday received the CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha.

The CSTO Secretary General and the Armenian President discussed the implementation of the decisions adopted during the previous sessions of the Collective Security Council in September and December, as well as the preparations for the CSTO Collective Security Council session to be held in Yerevan on October 14.

The President highly appreciated Bordyuzha's work in CSTO during Armenia's presidency, including his contribution to preparing and holding all the sessions of the Collective Security Council's regulatory bodies and developing the CSTO collective security strategy till 2025.

Noting that the agenda of Yerevan session is very full, the CSTO Secretary General stressed that during Armenia's presidency in the organization significant decisions were adopted, which will give serious impetus to the further development of the organization.  Among those decisions Bordyuzha mentioned the collective security strategy and the document on the additional means to fight terrorism.

Apart from this, the interlocutors exchanged views on the pressing issues on regional and international agenda.
