At least 27 people were killed, 50 more were injured as a result of collision of two buses in the town of Khanpur, Pakistan, AFP reported.

 “At least 27 people have been killed in the accident and 50 others were wounded,” local government official Zafar Iqbal said.

Rescue workers were attempting to pull people out of the wreckage with fears that the death toll could rise, as at least 15 people are in critical condition, Iqbal said.
