The leader of Texas Nationalist Movement (TNM) Nathan Smith told RT that Texas separatists hope for peaceful referendum on exit of the state from the U.S. after the inauguration of the U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
According to Smith, the state has not changed its decision to separate from the U.S. after the presidential election of the country. At the same time the leader of the campaign for sovereignty of Texas considered the fight for political, economic and cultural independence the main task of Texans.
Besides, he emphasized that people do not want to be a part of federal bureaucracy which exposes Texas to trillions of national debt.
