YEREVAN. – Bananas, cocoa, seafood, and flowers will be imported to Armenia from Ecuador.

The respective agreement has been reached during negotiations between the “Armenian-Ecuadorian Friendship” NGO, and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and the ProEcuador organization of Ecuador.

The two-year-long negotiations have neared the end, and, accordingly, the parties plan to bring Ecuadorian products to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) via Armenia, the aforementioned NGO informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The said negotiations also have factored in the prospects that will open as a result of Ecuador-Armenia trade and economic cooperation.

In addition, this cooperation shall have a direct result for Armenia’s economy, and all tax obligations shall be fulfilled in the country.

According to the agreement reached, a fair-expo for the EAEU countries—which are Armenia Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan—will be held in 2017 in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, where the main products of Ecuador will be introduced.
