YEREVAN. - Starting from 1 January 2017, the goods imported to the republics of the Eurasian Economic Union from free trade zones of Armenia will have to undergo customs clearance.
Minister of Economic Development and Investments, Suren Karayan, stated the aforementioned in the National Assembly (NA) on Wednesday, responding to the question of Orinats Yerkir Party Secretary Mher Shahgeldyan.
Nevertheless, the free trade zones offer significant privileges for their residents, exempting them from all kinds of taxes except for the income tax collected from wage workers, the Minister said.
