YEREVAN. – Estonia’s new Ambassador to Armenia, Kai Kaarelson—whose diplomatic residence is in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi, on Friday presented her credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

The President congratulated the ambassador on her appointment, wished her success, and underscored that Armenia is interested in giving a new quality to Armenian-Estonian relations, the Press Office of the President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. Sargsyan stressed the importance of invigorating cooperation in all domains, and by way of using the high-level political dialogue, interparliamentary relations, and opportunities of the civil society.

Noting that her previous diplomatic experiences were related to international organizations such as the UN and EU—organizations that are equally important to Armenia and Estonia, Ambassador Kaarelson noted that this will help her to be more efficient in the implementation of her diplomatic mission in Armenia.

The interlocutors discussed the avenues for the development of cooperation in the domains of mutual interest, including high tech, in which Estonia has recorded impressive progress while Armenia has achieved considerable success, in recent years.
