YEREVAN. – Some obstacles still persist along the lines of the single market products of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU, which comprises Armenia Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan). 

Deputy Director of the Integration Development Department at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC)—the executive body of the EAEU, Saadat Assanseitova, stated the aforesaid at Saturday’s joint meeting of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of Armenia and of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Federation Council of Russia, in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.

In her words, however, these products are not a lot.

“But they are sensitive products, toward which we are working now,” added Assanseitova. “Honorable Chairman of the [EEC] Board, Tigran Sargsyan, has put before us the task of preparing the ‘White Book’ that will present the plan, the roadmap for eliminating the [respective] restrictions and obstacles.”
