Turkey may join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), without breaking its ties with other organizations.

Deputy Prime Minster of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş stated the aforementioned on Monday, RIA Novosti reports.

“Turkey is one of the few countries, which can simultaneously support ties with different blocs: this is its strength. Currently, we have a status of an observer in SCO. Our Presidents has an intention [to join the SCO], which he announced about. Let’s see how the events will develop. But this doesn’t mean that we will break our ties with other organizations,” Kurtulmuş stated.
