India successfully test fired its indigenously built nuclear-capable Agni-I ballistic missile, Business Standard reported.

The missile was fired at about 10.10 a.m. from launch pad-4 of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Abdul Kalam Island near Dhamra off Odisha coast. The launch was a part of a training exercise by Strategic Forces Command of the Indian Army.

As it was reported, the ballistic missile weighs about 12 tons, it can hit a target 700 km away and is capable to carry nuclear or usual warhead weighing about a ton.
