The U.S. President-elect Donald Trump would like to see the former leader of the UK Independence Party, one of the initiators of Brexit Nigel Farage as the UK ambassador to the U.S..

“Many people would like to see @Nigel_Farage represent Great Britain as their Ambassador to the United States. He would do a great job!” Trump tweeted.

Farage supported Trump during the presidential campaign and met him after the victory. Following the meeting with the U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, Farage stated that Brexit meant global opportunities for the UK and added that one of the priorities of the UK shall become relations with the U.S. and Donald Trump's administration.
