YEREVAN. – Foreign Minister of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, on Thursday met with chairperson of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) Ministerial Council and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Madagascar, Béatrice Atallah.

They met within the framework of the ongoing OIF ministerial conference in Antananarivo, the capital city of Madagascar.

Underscoring the efforts toward the development of cooperation between Armenia and Madagascar, the interlocutors stressed the respective role played by the OIF, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Nalbandian and Atallah also discussed the avenues for the development of Armenian- Malagasy bilateral relations, and highlighted the existing great potential for closer cooperation.

In addition, the FMs of Armenia and Madagascar discussed the prospects for educational and cultural cooperation, and agreed to intensify consultations between the MFAs of the two countries.

Furthermore, Edward Nalbandian and Béatrice Atallah conferred on the OIF ministerial conference, and the matters that are on the summit of this organization.

The two FMs also exchanged views on regional and international matters.
