The French Prime Minister Manuel Valls has assured the President François Hollande that he will not resign and will not run against the president's nomination, reported AFP. Earlier, the Prime Minister considered that he might run for the primaries from the leftists, even as a competitor to Francois Hollande. Taken this into account, the government spokesman Stéphane Le Foll announced that in that case Valls must leave his post.

Recently, Manuel Valls during a conversation with Francois Hollande at the Élysée Palace assured him, that he will not trigger an institutional crisis and political confrontation, when France confronts terrorist threats. Valls also said that he will not resign because of a sense of "responsibility for the state."
