YEREVAN. - The office of the European Union will help Armenia to counter gender-based violence, MP from Tsarukyan Bloc Naira Zohrabyan said in parliament on Monday during the discussion of Armenian ombudsman’s report for 2016.
According to her, the situation is even more awful because that violence often remains hidden, and women not always dare to speak about it.
“We will develop a program to fight the dreadful things of this kind. Our European partners will help us,” she added.
