YEREVAN.-  Armenian Defence Minister Vigen Sargsyan received British Ambassador to Armenia Judith Farnworth and UK's new Defence Attache' for Armenia David Ethell and deputy military attache, major William George, the press service of the Ministry of Defence reported.

Vigen Sargsyan congratulated William George on his accreditation to Armenia and wished him success in work. Vigen Sargsyan presented to the guests the directions of bilateral cooperation in defense sphere, which are especially important for the Ministry of Defence. The minister noted that protection of human rights, military education, training of younger officers, regular consultations between representatives of the Defense Ministries of two countries are among these directions.

In turn, the ambassador emphasized readiness of the British side to continue cooperation with Armenia and has noted that it is planned to expand a cooperation framework,  taking into account Armenia's new parliamentary control system and wide experience of Great Britain in this direction.
