The Armenian Public TV has already received 20-30 songs for the Eurovision 2011 song contest.

Speaking at today’s press conference Alexan Harutyunyan, President of the Council of Public Television and Radio Company of Armenia, said that they consider only 2 or 3 songs that are really interesting.  It is the reason Public TV intends to defer to a later date receiving of contest songs. “There is a couple of interesting songs and we decided to extend deadline for 10 days. Besides a number of famous composers have not presented their songs yet,” Harutunyan said.

As to Junior Eurovision 2011, he did not rule out possibility of holding the song contest in Armenia. Hrutunyan stressed that Armenia will get financial aid from the European Broadcasting Union if the contest takes place in the republic.
