On January 20, the first meeting of Joint group of strategic planning will be held in Istanbul, chaired by Russian and Turkish Foreign Ministers, Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The issues on the activities of a new mechanism of Russia-Turkey cooperation will be discussed during the meeting.

The participants will exchange views on a wide range of issues on bilateral and international agenda, including European security, Middle East settlement, situation in the Balkans and South Caucasus and other regions, the statement reads.
