French President Emmanuel Macron is interested in the development of dialogue with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
“I want to hold a historic and strategic dialogue with Vladimir Putin,” Macron told Le Journal du Dimanche newspaper. “For me Russia is situated in Europe, even if it has never been familiar with the democracy in which we live.”
The French president stated that he aims to join Russia to Europe and not to allow this country to isolate itself.
