Each conflict is unique and should be treated in a particular way, British Ambassador to Armenia Charles Lonsdale told a press conference on January 20, presenting London’s position why the United Kingdom recognizes independence of Kosovo and Southern Sudan, but not Nagorno-Karabakh.

The diplomat stressed the Karabakh conflict should be solved within OSCE Minsk Group, based on three international principles, particularly nation’s right to self-determination, territorial integrity and non-use of force.

Meanwhile, the Ambassador emphasized NATO also upholds such a position on the issue. He expressed hope that Minsk Group efforts to resolve the Karabakh conflict peacefully will be crowned with success.
