Armenian Ambassador to Switzerland Charles Aznavour participated in the meeting of a group, planning to erect a monument to Armenian Genocide victims in Geneva.

Representatives of cultural, urban development and architectural departments of Geneva Municipality, Geneva Museum of Modern Art, as well as members of the Armenian community and embassy are involved in the group, Armenian foreign office press service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Aznavour highly appreciated the local authorities’ attitude towards the Armenian community and their readiness to erect a monument to Armenian Genocide victims.

The opening ceremony of the monument will be held in Geneva, on April 24, 2013.
