On February 11, Azerbaijani Defense Minister Safar Abiyev received the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Robert Bradtke, Bernard Fassier, Igor Popov and Personal Representative of the Chairman-in-Office Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk.

Though the activities of the Minsk Group have not produced results, Azerbaijan still hopes for the OSCE mission, Abiyev said. The minister said the efforts must be united for the solution of the conflict, “Armenia must give up its aggressive policy and the peaceful settlement will be possible only in this context.”

Abiyev also underlined that Azerbaijan is making serious preparations for the “liberation of the occupied territories”. He said all states would act in a similar manner under such circumstances. “No one can blame Azerbaijan for this issue,” Abiyev stated.
