Minister of the Interior Christophe Castaner has instructed the prefectures of France to beef up security at the synagogues of the country.

This is carried out in the aftermath of the shooting at a synagogue in the US city of Pittsburgh, and which claimed 11 lives, RT reported citing the minister’s post on his Twitter account.

“I just asked the prefects to strengthen as of tomorrow [Sunday] security around synagogues and at the events scheduled this weekend,” Castaner wrote on Twitter.
