Elimination of 500 tons of toxic chemicals Nubarashen chemical waste landfill is a very important issue for Armenia. Most of the waste is organ chlorine compounds.

As noted in the report of the Ministry of Nature Protection, submitted to the Government, one of the safest options for environmental destruction is to export it to another country, which should be realized in accordance with the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal.
