According to the national security concept of Georgia, the Georgian authorities consider a serious threat possible spread of conflicts from neighboring countries to national security of the country, Azg daily reads.

Under the concept, the conflicts in the North Caucasus, ethnic and religious confrontations, as well as the unresolved Karabakh conflict have an adverse affect on the security of Caucasus.

The draft document says that “favorable environment is created for the development of transnational crime because of lack of control in the territory of Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region, Georgian state border with Russia.”

Today, the parliamentary committee will consider the draft concept of national security.
